Hoody project review
In today's world, due to centuries of pollution
and exploitation of natural resources, the need for "greener"
solutions is ever-growing. The future of industrial technology is
sustainability and the future of the internet is user-generated content.
Using the internet as a platform for promoting communal sustainability
is not only the smart thing to do, it's also the right thing to do.
Each person's neighborhood is their most ecological community. In
order to meet friends and buy groceries, the person doesn't need to
move their car – thus saving many resources.
A local meta-network platform based on the following core
features:
- Local maps with environmental
layers and micro local P2P services.
(I.e. babysitters, bike tours, courses,
recycling spots etc.)
|
 |
- Services for the community by the community.
(I.e. concerts, shows, local fairs.) |
| - Local Mail - locally focused messages and
"the word on the street" are presented to the local
audience only. |
- Tailor made web applications.
(I.e. carpool, calendar, personalized
message board.) |
| - Local business & commerce solutions |
Our Vision
Creating an international on-line
community which will be populated by most households in the world
who choose to live a balanced and sustainable lifestyle. Making social
connections and gatherings based on geographical locations.
The Personal touch
Each user will have a personalized homepage
which is compiled from data derived from the user's immediate area.
The end result is that each neighborhood will have its own network
and the different networks will interact at certain "junctions".
Eventually, a large, global "meta-network" will emerge,
covering entire cities and eventually, whole countries.
